This is what is also referred to as a semi-permanent or demi-permanent color providing beautiful shine, vibrancy, and condition in a multitude of color ranges. This process can enhance your natural color with richness, golds or reds, or darken your color. It cannot lighten hair because it is not drawn into the follicle as with a tint. It can also have the capability of blending grey in with your natural tones or have that grey take on a warmer appearance. Process time may vary, 15-30 min. based on desired intensity. This color may last up to 6 weeks, slowly fading over time. Total appointment time for this service only is 1 hour. INITIAL APPLICATION refers to a client's first gloss visit at Illusions. GLOSS BALANCING refers to the application of your gloss color any visit after your initial application.

All color services are a-la-carte.

This is our version of a 'mini-foil', consisting of up to 12 foils, usually in the bang area or front area. With normal processing time, the total appointment time for this service only is 1 hr, 15 min.

Tint:

This is a permanent hair color- the color is not just on the surface of the hair but is drawn into the hair follicle itself. It is an excellent choice for covering grey or resistant hair types. Your color choices may include those that lighten the hair, depending on your natural or 'base' color. The product processes for up to 45 min., and a retouch (for the hair that grows at the scalp) is recommended every 4-6 weeks depending on shade, grey coverage, and hair growth. Total appointment time for this service only is 1 hr, 15 min. A deep cleansing treatment is recommended every 3 months before the retouch to keep the color performing and looking its best. There is no additional charge for the cleansing treatment. INITIAL APPLICATION refers to a client's first tint visit at Illusions. TINT BALANCING refers to the application of your tint color any visit after your initial application.

This service is sometimes referred to as a 'weave' or a 'highlight' because it will give you a 'weave' or 'highlighted' effect of lighter or darker colors over the entire head from a fine to a bolder 'weave' or 'highlight'. The desired amount of hair is separated from a section, color is applied to that hair, and then generally wrapped in foil packets. Total appointment time for this service only is 2 hours. Times may vary slightly should hair lighten quickly or slowly.

Partial Foils:

This service is the same process as a full foil; however, it covers the top and sides and crown of your head, leaving the back untouched. Total appointment time for this service only is 1 hr, 45 min. Times may vary slightly should hair lighten slowly or quickly.

This is an additional service that may be added after your hair is lightened to achieve a slightly different tonal value than can't be done with the lightener alone. The appointment time for this service only is 45 min to 1 hour.

Creative Color:

This service requires a consultation. There is a $40 deposit at the time of the consultation that will be applied to the total of your final billing. Color corrections can take from 2 to a multitude of steps to achieve the end result. At your consultation, a complete program will be explained to you and you may need to start with at-home care before your appointment can be made for the actual service. Expect to spend 15-30 minutes for the consultation. At that appointment time, an estimate of price and time needed for the actual corrective color service(s) will be given.

Illusions always offers Complimentary Consultations. These are scheduled appointments when you may sit with a stylist, browse through pictures and color swatches, and listen to the advice of one of our experts about the best options for you and your hair.

All of our color services are priced individually. You may choose to add a style for only $25 (reg. $32).

If you schedule a haircut with your color service, your haircut includes a complimentary style.

This is a lightening of your natural or base hair color more than 3 shades and requires a lightening and toning service. A retouch application of up to 1/2" of new growth starts at $65. If you have never had this service done, a consultation is required and the initial service starts at $95.

Sometimes referred to as 'fashion colors', 'panelling', or 'shading', they may stand alone as a 'pop' of color or be an add-on to another color service. Whether on the tips of the hair, or as a statement in the bang area, these colors can be a bold or vibrant fashion effect in the hair. Timing for this service will depend on the desired effect.

Elumen

Color:

"Elumen", by Goldwell is another variation of a permanent color. What makes it unique is how it works. It has a totally unique penetration system, which allows pure color dyes to penetrate deep inside the hair physically - without the need to swell the cuticle layer with chemicals. Using a purely physical process, negatively-charged color dyes are drawn deep inside the positively-charged hair shaft, where they are securely anchored, as if by a magnet. That makes "Elumen" permanent, yet without any damage to the hair, because there's no oxidation or alkalinity...Just long-lasting, vibrant, shiny, brilliant hair color!

INITIAL APPLICATION does not include a blonding service, and refers to a client's first Elumen color visit at Illusions. Elumen Balancing refers to the application of Elumen over the initial service.
