"Baliage"..."Balyage"...What is this all about?
Which ever way you spell it, its definition is the same: "to paint on".
This technique is done when clients want highlights that are more "blended", so as not to achieve a "stripey" foil. The celophane wrap protects the hair on top so that the color is not pressed into the upper layer. In most cases, because it allows color to have a more "natural" look, touch-ups aren't as frequent as a traditional foil. At Illusions, this technique can be done in place of a "Partial Foil" ($105) or "Full Foil" ($125).
We ask that you schedule a  COMPLIMENTARY Consultation to ensure you of which technique will offer you the most benefit for the style you are looking for.
Foiling takes on a  customized blend...
Here you see before and after looks of a vibrant foil done with slices of "VIOLET", and rich hues of "CHAMPAGNE" & "CAVIAR".
Who says you have to use scissors????
Next time you need a cut...Your stylist might ask you if you've ever had your hair cut with a "razor" before. These cuts are ones that can be done by using a "razor", rather than traditional "shears" (scissors).
The before photo shows a long, single length style...and the after shows off a long layer style that was done completely by using a razor.
Illusions hosted a "model call" for Goldwell platform colorist
Robb Dubre and his team on June 1st.
One of our colorists then attended a workshop held at Salty's on Alki on June 2nd,
and brought back many new elements taught at the class to add to our color team.
