ALL OF OUR SAFETY PROTOCOLS/GUIDELINES
PERTAIN TO THOSE WHO HAVE & HAVE NOT BEEN VACCINATED.
MASKS REMAIN REQUIRED FOR ENTRY.
Due to enhanced safety/sanitization protocols for salon/barber shops to re-open after the state mandated closure on March 16, 2020, we have put the following required policies in place. We are doing so in order to provide the safest possible environment for our clients and staff. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY. The following contains the most up to date information as of 10/4/2021, and may change depending on various county/state information. Our entire staff has been fully vaccinated since our demographic was eligible, in Spring 2021.
For those traveling from outside of West Seattle, remember to give yourself extra time since the WEST SEATTLE BRIDGE is CLOSED. *PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST COMPLETE & SUBMIT THE WAIVER AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE PRIOR TO CALLING TO SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT.
BEGINNING MONDAY OCTOBER 4:
WE WILL BE REQUIRING ALL WHO ENTER TO SHOW PROOF OF A COVID-19 VACCINATION. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN VACCINATED, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER. FACIAL COVERINGS REMAIN MANDATORY FOR ALL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

IF YOU ARE SICK:
If you are showing or feeling sick from ANY illness, please STAY HOME. When possible, please try to give as much notice in cancelling your appointment(s), but please know if you are displaying ANY symptoms, you will not be allowed entry, and will not be allowed to return until you are symptom free. You can find more information relating to the COVID-19 virus, including symptoms, HERE. For quarantine guidelines, please visit the CDC website HERE. Should you get sick/show symptoms of ANY illness while you are in the salon, you will be asked to leave immediately.

We are NOT accepting any "Walk-In" appointments at this time.
***YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR COVID-19 WAIVER PRIOR TO CALLING TO SCHEDULE YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT. If you have previously filled one out, we have it on file, and ask that you continue to monitor your health, and NOT schedule an appointment if you would answer your original waiver questions differently, or feel unwell for ANY other reasons***
Beginning Monday October 4th, Illusions will be requiring that ALL clients who enter be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. There are no exemptions or exceptions. ALL CLIENTS MUST PRESENT A VALID COVID VACCINATION CARD, (the card itself, a photo copy of it, or a photo of it on your phone), showing that you have received all current doses of the vaccine in order to enter. Your final dose noted on your card must be at least 14 days prior to your visit. We will NOT keep any of your personal information that is on your card. (PLEASE DO NOT SEND US YOUR CARD OR A COPY OF IT). It MUST BE PRESENTED AT THE DOOR BY EACH CLIENT at your appointment. Once we have verified your card, you will not need to bring it or show it again for future visits (unless we alter our requirements for BOOSTER vaccination proof at a later date). Any person accompanying a client must also show their valid vaccination card for entry.
We regret that ALL children under the age of 12 will NOT be allowed in the salon beginning October 4th because children under the age of 12 are not yet eligible for the vaccine. We will be suspending ALL services for those under age 12. Once vaccines are approved for kids under 12, we will resume these services, and a parent or guardian will be required to show their child's valid vaccination card for entry.
If you have a scheduled appointment ON OR AFTER OCTOBER 4th... PLEASE BE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CARD or A PHOTO OF IT ON YOUR PHONE BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE! If you cannot present us a valid card, you will not be able to enter. We cannot make accommodations for you to locate your card if it is anywhere other than on your person or on your phone upon your arrival. We cannot make adjustments to your time slot for that day if you do not have your card. We will cancel your appointment, and we will be charging a $25 NO VACCINE CARD PRESENT FEE that you will have to pay before you can book another appointment. NO EXCEPTIONS.
We will NOT accept any false or fake card information. If you have not been vaccinated, you will not be allowed to enter. By misrepresenting yourself as vaccinated when entering schools, mass transit, workplaces, gyms, or places of worship, you put yourself and others around you at risk of contracting COVID-19. Additionally, the unauthorized use of an official government agency's seal (such as HHS or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)) is a crime, and may be punishable under Title 18 United States Code, Section 1017, and other applicable laws.
If you cannot keep an upcoming appointment due to this new protocol, please call us ASAP to let us know that we can cancel your appointment and open it up for another client.
Our FULLY-VACCINATED staff appreciates your understanding that we are requiring vaccinations for all who enter in order to continue to do what we can to protect us, you, and our community.
When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, we ask that you remain outside or in your vehicle. CALL us to let us know you have arrived. We will let you know when to come to the door.
MASK UP! Facial masks continue to be REQUIRED for ALL in the salon UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
At this time, our 3 stylists (Monica, Anna & Rita) are working limited daily hours Mondays - Thursdays. We are CLOSED FRIDAY-SUNDAY. Our lobby will NOT be used for extended waiting times before or after any appointment. We ask that you leave the salon once your service transaction at the front desk has been completed. Our lobby will remain CLOSED to those without appointments, be clear of ALL reading materials, and we will NOT be offering any refreshments.
• NO BLOW DRY STYLING. We understand that some salons are using blow dryers, as it is not a state mandated restriction, but their use in ALL Beauty Salons & Barber Shops continues to be DISCOURAGED BY THE CDC. We will continue NOT to do blow-dry styling in order to provide a safer environment for our staff & clients, as COVID-19 is an airborne virus.
• Corrective Colors, Bleach & Tone, FULL FOIL or FOIL+, etc., services are being scheduled on a case-by-case basis. *Please note that we acknowledge that with some color/bleaching services, a "quick" dry may be needed prior to an added toner service (as per our color line instructions for application), and we will limit these services based on salon capacity and time of the appointment in the salon. We may require a deposit, prior to booking. (Deposit based on type of service(s) required.) Unsure of what color service you need? Call us and we can chat about it over the phone.
You may schedule your appointments through the end of December 2021. As licensed professionals, our team MUST adhere to any rules/regulations from the state, and we are monitoring and making adjustments to current protocols as needed. Should anything MAJOR change in our scheduling procedures, we will notify clients via an E-Mail or posts on social media. We will also alter our 24hr phone line message for those without computer access.
Immediately upon entry, ALL clients will be REQUIRED to wash their hands with soap & warm water for more than 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer before their stylist takes them to a station for their service(s). We will provide hand sanitizers located throughout the salon, but HAND WASHING is recommended when at all possible.
ALL clients (age 2+) MUST provide and wear their own facial protectant mask. We will NOT provide you a mask. (Regardless of vaccination status, MASKS REMAIN REQUIRED FOR ENTRY.) NO ONE MAY ENTER THE SALON WITHOUT ONE. If you feel you are in a high-risk group, or cannot wear a mask at this time, we ask that you wait to schedule your appointment. We cannot be 6 feet or more from you while performing hair services, therefore Washington State guidelines (at this stage) REQUIRE EVERYONE in our business to wear a mask. NO EXCEPTIONS. Masks MUST be worn at all times. They should be comfortable and either simple toss-away or reusable cloth, and MUST be "loop ear" style. NO "around the head bands", "bandana", or "wrap" full face style will be allowed. We can't cut or color hair if your facial covering is on or attached around your head in any way. (Note: N95 masks are not mandatory for businesses unless a specific company requires their use, or if you work in a healthcare/hospital environment where possible exposure to the virus is much higher). Our staff will be wearing a variety of styles, based on comfort and personal protection.
COLOR CLIENTS: If you are getting a COLOR SERVICE, please know that color may get on your mask and it will stain, so toss-away ones might be a better option for you. We are not responsible/liable if color gets on your mask.
WHILE AT THE
Masks must be worn at all times. We ask that you keep conversations to a minimum while at the shampoo bowl, as it is the one time you will be face to face with your stylist.
To reduce the handling of cash, ONLY CHECKS OR DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS will be accepted. NO CASH, PLEASE. When using a credit card, please know that no signature will be required for you purchase. You will not be asked to sign a receipt slip. For a truly "contactless" form of payment, we suggest using "VISA PAY" or "APPLE PAY" or "TAP-TO-PAY" upon checkout. Please refer to your cell phone device for how to install and use these forms of payment, or your bank to see if your card has the appropriate chip embedded within it.

As a licensed personal service business, we are required to maintain a high standard of safety protocols for ALL who enter. We continue to follow regulations from the state, county, DOH, CDC, and also from the DOL. Our protocols are followed for EVERYONE'S safety, and we appreciate your understanding & cooperation.
